Homeless Shelter Outreach

On the third Sunday of each month, volunteers from LifeSong travel to homeless shelters and provide food and spiritual direction for those in need. By sharing food, we are able to minister to their immediate physical needs. By sharing the Word, we are able to minister to their eternal and spiritual needs. This is a great ministry to be involved in if you have a heart for the homeless.

Homeless Street Outreach

Some members of the homeless population in Stockton are unable or unwilling to stay in the available shelters. Our outreach team goes to the street on the third Sunday of the month to provide food and an encouraging word from the Bible. Bread for Life

The focus of this ministry is to provide supplemental groceries to the needy families of our community.

"...only that we should remember the poor…" (Galatians 2:10).

"For the poor will never cease from the land; there I command you saying, you shall open your hand wide to your brother, to your poor and your needy, in your land" (Deuteronomy 15:11).

How It Works

The Bread of Life ministry has been blessed over past several months to distribute more than 300,000 lbs. of  groceries to needy families in Stockton and the surrounding area.

Volunteers from LifeSong and other nonprofit ministries cooperate to bring the food to our central location and others help distribute the food on the third Saturday of each month.  In addition, we go into needy areas of our community and take food to those who can’t come to us.
