Deeper Passion

What moves you?  What causes you to plant your feet on the floor in the morning and rise to meet the challenges of the day?  Or do you find yourself going through the motions, just getting by... Sails without wind. Life without passion.

At LifeSong, we believe pure passion means coming alive as God ignites your heart.  Our passion is so often bridled by reasons and rules that our hearts wither and die, but God forms a new heart within us that beats to the rhythm of an unrestrained joy.

Facts rarely inspire faith.  Programs seldom evoke lasting pleasure.  But passion is the divine spark that makes our souls breathe.  This is what we have discovered:  God is inviting us ever deeper into authentic relationship with Him through the person and work of Jesus Christ and the result is passion.  Pure passion.  Deeper passion.

Deeper Presence

We're born alone, we live alone, we die alone."  Orson Welles' gloomy statement reflects the feelings of many in this generation.  Alone in our homes.  Alone on our jobs.  Alone in crowded rooms.  Armed with emails, text messaging, and cell phones, but still alone.  But our feelings are wrong.  We are not alone.

God is with us.  We cannot escape His presence.  "If I go up to heaven, you are there; if I go down to the grave, you are there" (Psalm 139:8, NLT).  God fills and overflows this vast and ancient universe, but He also resides in the smallest and youngest believing heart.  We feel alone only when we are distracted from His presence.  Only when we are unaware.

At LifeSong, we long to become more deeply aware.  His presence is not confined to a building or contained within a schedule of church services.  He breathes through us as we work, He moves within us as we worship, He transforms us as we follow His voice.  We long for it.  Deeper Presence.  Because we know we are not alone.

Deeper Purpose

Human beings are driven by two basic questions: Who am I? and Why am I here?  We journey, we search, we investigate, and we experiment, but we are left echoing U2's haunting lyrics: "I still haven't found what I'm looking for."

At LifeSong, we feel like the questions have been answered.  We were formed with purpose.  Great purpose. God's purpose.  Each of us is created in the image of God and His purpose was determined before we were born.  Outside of His purpose life seems meaningless, but when we discover His purpose and pursue it, we experience lasting joy and fulfillment.  This is the life He has called us to--an abundant life, a life of meaning...a life of Deeper Purpose.
