What do LifeGroups do?
LifeGroups at LifeSong exist to help you develop new friendships and grow up to full maturity in your relationship with God. By being in relationship with fellow believers, you will experience even more of the abundant life Jesus has to offer. Ecclesiastes 4:9-10 says, “Two are better than one, because they have a good return for their work: if one falls down, his friend can help him up.” If you are ready to connect with other people, belong to something life-changing, and grow in Christ through relationships with other believers, then maybe it's time to get involved in a LifeGroup!
What is a LifeGroup?
A LifeGroup is typically made up of six to twenty people who meet regularly, either weekly or bi-weekly for one semester (10-12 weeks) to share about their lives, support one another, and study biblical truths. LifeGroups meet in a number of different locations in Stockton and the surrounding area, including coffee shops, restaurants, the church, work places and in homes. (There are three LifeGroup semesters per year.)
What do LifeGroups do?
LifeGroups usually have a time of fellowship, prayer, Bible study, discussion, and life application. They discuss the content of messages from LifeSong services using our Study Guides or the content of lessons presented by DVD using the related Discussion Questions. Of course, every group is different (like our Starbucks group or the fitness group), so you're sure to find one that interests you.
Specifically, our LifeGroups:
- Meet together weekly (or bi-weekly, as scheduled)
- Serve together monthly
- Reach out together once a semester
- Have fun together once a semester
How do I find and sign up for a LifeGroup?
- During a LifeSong worship gathering (using the LifeGroups catalog and Signup Card)
- At the Connections Table (before or after a worship gathering)
